Terms and Conditions Agreement

The Good Guide Guy LLC Wilderness Guide Service

Effective Date: June 28, 2025

By booking a wilderness guide service with The Good Guide Guy LLC ("the Company"), you ("the Client") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read this agreement carefully before participating in any guided activities.

1. Services Provided

The Good Guide Guy LLC provides professional wilderness guide services, including but not limited to hiking, camping, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities. The specific details of each trip, including duration, location, activities, and inclusions, will be outlined in the booking confirmation provided to the Client.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Physical Fitness and Health: The Client acknowledges that wilderness activities may involve physical exertion and inherent risks. The Client is responsible for ensuring they are in good physical health and capable of participating in the chosen activity. The Client must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations that may affect their participation.
  • Compliance with Instructions: The Client agrees to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by the Company’s guides. Failure to comply may result in removal from the activity without refund.
  • Equipment and Gear: The Client is responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear, and personal gear as specified in the trip itinerary. The Company may provide certain equipment, as outlined in the booking confirmation.

3. Assumption of Risk and Liability

  • Inherent Risks: The Client acknowledges that wilderness activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, or death due to weather, wildlife, terrain, or other natural conditions. The Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation.
  • Wildlife Viewing: The Client acknowledges that sightings of specific wildlife, including but not limited to moose, are not guaranteed. Wildlife behavior and presence are unpredictable and beyond the Company’s control.
  • Liability Release: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Client releases The Good Guide Guy LLC, its employees, guides, and affiliates from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the guided activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Company.

4. Payment Terms

  • Booking Deposit: A non-refundable deposit (as specified in the booking confirmation) is required to secure a reservation.
  • Final Payment: Full payment is due 14 days prior to the trip start date unless otherwise specified. Failure to make full payment may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the deposit.
  • Pricing: All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and include only the services specified in the booking confirmation. Additional expenses, such as transportation to the starting point, personal gear, or meals not included in the itinerary, are the Client’s responsibility.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Client Cancellations:
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before the trip start date are eligible for a full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations made 15–29 days before the trip start date are eligible for a 50% refund of the total trip cost, minus the deposit.
  • Cancellations made less than 15 days before the trip start date are not eligible for a refund.
  • Company Cancellations: The Good Guide Guy LLC reserves the right to cancel a trip due to adverse weather conditions or other safety concerns, at the Company’s sole discretion. If a trip is canceled by the Company due to adverse weather, the Client will be offered a full refund. The Company is not responsible for additional costs incurred by the Client (e.g., travel or accommodation expenses).

6. Insurance

The Client is strongly encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance, including coverage for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal property. The Company does not provide insurance for Clients.

7. Photography and Media

The Client grants The Good Guide Guy LLC permission to use photographs or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes, unless the Client provides written notice to opt out prior to the trip.

8. Code of Conduct

The Client agrees to act respectfully toward guides, other participants, and the natural environment. The Company reserves the right to remove any Client from a trip for disruptive or unsafe behavior without refund.

9. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which The Good Guide Guy LLC is registered. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved in the courts of that state.

10. Modifications to Terms

The Company reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes prior to their trip.
